Christian Sanders is a distinguished tenor celebrated for his dynamic range in operatic roles, including unforgettable performances at Château de Versailles in France and as Rodolfo in "La Bohème" with Minnesota Opera. With a repertoire that spans from Dorvil in Rossini's "La Scala di Seta" to Loge in "Das Rheingold," he brings a wealth of professional experience to his teaching.

Christian's accolades include being a finalist in the Rocky Mountain Region of the Metropolitan National Council Auditions as well as a winner of the Ruth Burr Vocal Competition in Houston, TX. He holds a Master of Music degree from Rice University and is located in Atlanta, GA. He is deeply committed to nurturing the next generation of vocal talent.

Approach

Teaching Philosophy

Christian is a classical singer by profession, yet his expertise extends to teaching a variety of vocal styles including pop, jazz, rock, musical theatre, classical crossover, and opera.

He believes that a strong foundation in classical vocal technique equips a singer to excel in any genre they choose, and his teaching approach reflects this belief.

With over ten years of professional operatic singing experience, Christian has performed with prestigious opera companies like The Santa Fe Opera, San Diego Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, the Minnesota Opera, and Aspen Opera Theatre, among others. During this period, he has also mentored a diverse range of students, spanning various ages and backgrounds.

He has also served as a guest lecturer and interim vocal instructor at Baylor University in Waco, TX. Known for his personable approach, he is committed to ensuring that his students achieve their technical objectives during their lessons with him.

Studio Policies

Location

Students have the option to take voice lessons in the comfort of their own homes, as Christian is able to travel within the greater Atlanta area. For those who are unable to travel to his studio, or for students who have moved away but wish to continue their studies, online lessons via Skype are also available.

Scheduling

To schedule a lesson, students can contact Christian through the form provided. A mutually agreeable time and place for the lesson will then be arranged. Should a lesson need to be canceled, 24 hours' notice is required. In such cases, half of the lesson fee will be refunded.
